Akshay Kumar now busy to collect a huge amount from domestic and overseas market. After back to back three 100 Cr movies Akshay Kumar didn’t stop him to celebrate his success. And adding its overseas business (36.30 crores), the movie stands at a worldwide total of 200 crores gross in 16 days. The occupancy on Tuesday and Wednesday dropped but film shows a good jump on Rakhi across the nation and earned 8.62 Cr on the Thursday. The long holiday weekend helps to grab 100 Cr from domestic market. On day 9th the film once again picked up despite new releases and kept the upward trend continued in its 2nd weekend. The Tinu Suresh Desai directorial film remained the top during the second weekend where the movie collected 17.12 Cr in its 2nd weekend (8th, 9th and 10th day). While Mohenjo Daro is nearing the end of its Bollywood cycle with total earning of Rs 1.55 crore on 2nd Sunday, Happy Bhag Jayegi managed to stay afloat after earning over Rs 10.71 crore in the first weekend.
On the second Monday occupancy rates dropped being non holiday. After enjoying a huge response in second weekend now finally movie enters in working days. Rustom successfully gross 2nd week and this week much awaited movie A Flying Jatt releasing at box office on 25th August and it give Rustom a huge competition. The film has little to no competition from Happy Bhag Jayegi hence the pace could be expected steady in 2nd week till the next big ticket film hit the screens.
